Everything stays on your phone

Bar is a lifting log. Your workouts, sets, bodyweight entries, notes and form videos are stored only on your device. Bar has no accounts, no sign‑in and no servers, and the app makes no network requests. Nothing you enter is sent anywhere unless you share it yourself.

No data collection

Bar does not collect, track or share personal data or usage data of any kind. There are no analytics, no advertising identifiers and no third‑party SDKs.

Sharing a day

When you share a day, Bar makes a link at mybar.fit with the day inside it: its name, its lifts, and their sets, rep ranges and rest. Never your weights, notes, schedule or history. The link goes only where you send it.

The day sits in the part of the link after the #, which browsers never send to a server, so mybar.fit never receives it. The page at mybar.fit shows the day in the reader's own browser. It has no analytics. Its host, Vercel, may keep the standard request logs any website has.

So that a Bar link opens in Bar, iOS checks a small file at mybar.fit when Bar is installed. That check is made by iOS and carries nothing about you.

What Bar asks permission for

Camera and microphone: only if you choose to record a form video. Clips stay in Bar's own storage on your phone.
Photos: only if you choose to add a video from your library, or to save a share image you create.
Notifications: only to tell you when a rest timer ends, and only if you turn that alert on in Settings. No marketing and no badges.

Your data is yours

Settings, Export makes a complete copy of your log as a file you control. Deleting Bar deletes everything it stored.

TestFlight

If you use Bar through Apple's TestFlight, Apple may collect crash logs and feedback you choose to send, under Apple's TestFlight terms. Bar itself still collects nothing.
